See Carly on TV, and possibly be part of XFactor finale yourself

“The X Factor” is hosting a viewing party for Sonenclar’s fans—they call themselves “Carly’s Angels”—Wednesday at Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains. Doors open at 6 p.m. and there’ll be a huge screen to watch the finale, from 8 to 10 p.m. Organizers want to make sure that fans bring their cellphones, so they can vote, vote, vote as soon as phone lines are open. And I imagine if you bring signs celebrating your favorite 13-year-old singer they wouldn’t turn you away.
In the finale, Sonenclar faces 37-year-old country singer Tate Stevens and the girl group Fifth Harmony after the boy band trio Emblem3 was sent packing in the sem-finals. The winner of the competition—to be announced in Thursday’s two-hour finale (from 8 to 10 p.m.)—earns a $5 million recording contract.
While the order the finalists were announced didn’t reflect their vote totals after the semi’s, producers certainly made it interesting, first announcing that long-shot Fifth Harmony would advance to the finale, shocking the crowd. Then Stevens got in, pitting Sonenclar against Emblem3. When the two acts stood on the stage waiting to hear who was going to the finale, Sonenclar stood beside mentor Britney Spears, her eyes shut. When she was chosen, Sonenclar said: “I don’t know what to say. Thanks to everyone for voting. Emblem3, you’re going to go so far and I can’t wait to buy your albums.”
It all comes down to who can get their fans to vote in the greatest numbers. Votes are taken—by phone, app, text and Web—from 10 p.m. to midnight in the East. Phone voters can vote an unlimited number of times and just keep hitting redial.
Carly emailed this morning to say: “I owe so much of the fact that I made it to the finale to everybody who is supporting me in my hometown! I feel so close to the end now and winning is in sight, so please help me fulfill my dream and bring this home for you guys and vote vote vote!! MORE THAN EVER THIS WEEK! It really would mean the world to me to win this competition after all the hours of work we have put into this (you guys included with all of the voting you have done!) Thank you so much for all the support and I love you all!! Let’s do this!”
Seating at Wednesday’s viewing party is first-come, first-served for the first 1,000 fans.
Stepinac is at 950 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains.
